ImSim and Porsche unveil Raceborn, a premium racing simulator with a moving cockpit
Raceborn will be available in three configurations, including a version with four motion actuators that simulate vehicle movement, and an option to use a VR headset.
Porsche and Portuguese manufacturer ImSim unveiled the new ImSim Porsche Raceborn racing simulator at SimRacing Expo 2026 in Frankfurt. The system combines a futuristic design inspired by Porsche cars with advanced driving simulation technology, and will be available in several configurations, from a static cockpit to a fully motion-enabled setup.
Raceborn looks like a futuristic sports car. It features a low body, Porsche’s distinctive four-point headlights, an illuminated rear light strip, and an aerodynamic splitter. It will be available in various colors inspired by the automaker, including Carrara White, GT Silver, Carmine Red, and Speed Yellow.
The most notable technical feature is the moving cockpit, which uses four actuators to simulate vehicle movement while driving. The screen remains mounted on a separate, fixed structure, so it does not move with the driver. The simulator also uses four independent ButtKicker vibration units that can convey the behavior of individual wheels, loss of grip, ABS activation, engine vibrations, and gear shifts.
The ImSim Porsche Raceborn will be available in three configurations:
Each setup includes a PC with software, and the manufacturer provides remote installation, testing, and the first year of support. The cockpit is designed to accommodate users between 80 and 220 centimeters tall.
The ImSim Porsche Raceborn is on display at SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt from October 16 to 18. Prices for the different configurations have not yet been announced and are available from the manufacturer upon request.
