Cyberleek Ends GTA VI Leaks After His Cryptocurrency Fails to Reach $30 Million Target

Anonymous hacker Cyberleek, who has been sharing footage from GTA VI in recent weeks, has announced that he is ending his leaks. The reason is the failure of his cryptocurrency project to reach the desired value of $30 million. Before signing off, however, he released a roughly three-minute video titled End of the Road, showing more of the game’s features.

This time, the new video focuses mainly on everyday activities in the open world. Lucia visits a hair salon, where she can choose from several hairstyles and hair color options. She also demonstrates the option to rob the salon’s cash register.

Another segment shows Lucia and Jason at a bar, where they can play pool. The footage suggests it will be a full-fledged minigame with cue controls. Lucia then visits a sportswear store, where she can try on and buy various jerseys, shorts, and other clothing.

The video ends with cinematic footage of various locations, characters, and settings. According to Cyberleek, it comes from the game’s final missions, but is taken out of context and does not reveal the story’s actual ending. Despite the title End of the Road, this is not yet the release of GTA VI’s ending.

The Leaks End, but There’s One Last Threat

In his statement, Cyberleek said he had access to the story’s true ending and had considered releasing it. He ultimately decided that doing so would primarily hurt players who are looking forward to GTA VI and do not want the story spoiled.

He also claims to have prepared a so-called dead man’s switch, a mechanism that could automatically release story spoilers if action were taken against him. According to him, it would activate only if Take-Two tried to stop him. The existence and functionality of this mechanism have not been independently confirmed.

Cryptocurrency Project Falls Short of Expectations

The main reason the leaks are ending is the failure of the CYBERLEEK cryptocurrency. The hacker had previously promised to make the complete development build of GTA VI available, including the story, if his token reached a market capitalization of $30 million.

That threshold, however, proved unreachable. After an initial rise, the cryptocurrency lost much of its value, falling from a high of approximately $7.6 million to $2.7 million, according to recent figures.

Cyberleek has therefore announced that he will not release the complete version of the game. He also argues that anonymously uploading more than 200 GB of data would pose a major risk, one he was willing to take only if the financial target was met. He also claims the cryptocurrency was presented from the outset as a form of donation to fund a secret project, not as an investment.

The situation has drawn considerable criticism of his attempt to profit from leaked material. Although Cyberleek says he is done sharing more footage, he ends his statement with the word “for now,” leaving the door open to a possible return.

GTA VI is set to release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That leaves just over a month until release, and despite the many leaks, Rockstar is still trying to keep major story surprises under wraps.
