Xbox Series X Competition Offers a Special Edition Console Inside an Alligator

Microsoft has created one of the most bizarre versions of the Xbox Series X. The new Xbox Series X-BITE looks as if a giant alligator swallowed the console whole. It’s more than just a replica, though: inside is a fully functional Xbox Series X, and only one was made.

Xbox took inspiration from Florida, where the brand is heading in November as part of its campaign. Xbox apparently can’t market its console and GTA VI, so it’s trying this instead. The finished alligator measures more than five feet from nose to tail, or about 1.5 meters. The console is built directly into its body and is visible through a backlit Xbox Nexus element. It also comes with a specially modified Xbox Wireless Controller marked with bite marks and positioned between the alligator’s jaws. The alligator has green eyes with details inspired by the Xbox logo, making the whole model look like a cross between a gaming console and a movie prop.

John Nolan Studio, which specializes in animatronics and creating film creatures, contributed to its production. The studio has previously worked on projects such as The Witcher, Jurassic World Dominion, and HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series. For the Xbox Series X-BITE, it used 3D modeling, sculpting, and custom fabrication, paying close attention to the skin texture, controller details, and the installation of the functional console itself.

Microsoft made only one unit and decided to give it away to fans in a sweepstakes. You can enter through the social media platforms X, Instagram, or TikTok. Entrants must follow the official Xbox account, share the designated sweepstakes post, and manually add the hashtag #XbiteSweepstakes. Their profile must remain public so the post can be verified.

Xbox has also released a trailer for the unusual console, showing the Series X-BITE in more detail.

The sweepstakes runs from November 3 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time through November 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. The selected winner will then have 48 hours to claim the prize. If they miss the deadline, Xbox will select another entrant.
